Games partners

A number of different key partners are working together to deliver a successful Birmingham 2022, no one partner could deliver this on their own.

While the event is only 11 days long, there will be a lasting legacy of partnership as a result of the years of planning, preparation and working together that have taken place.

Here are the links for the main partners delivering Birmingham 2022.

The Games Partners

Birmingham 2022 Organising Committee
The OC is an arm’s length body of DCMS established for the purpose of organising and delivering the Games.

Birmingham City Council (BCC)
The council’s role is to prepare ‘the stage’ and deliver tangible benefits for the city and its citizens for generations to come.

West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA)
Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) is the executive body of the WMCA responsible for coordinating transport services across the region .TfWM and its constituent authorities including Birmingham City Council will provide and facilitate transport services for the Games workforce and volunteers, spectators, and everyday users, such as local residents, commuters and businesses. Responsibilities will vary between authorities and include delivering infrastructure improvements to provide additional capacity, encouraging the use of sustainable transport, and implementing measures to manage traffic.

Warwickshire Police – hosting the lawn bowls and para lawn bowls at Victoria Park in Leamington Spa and the cycling road race in St Nicholas Park in Warwick
