WMP engagement team visit local schools

Published on | News

Our engagement team have been busy out and about in recent weeks visiting schools that are local to Games venues to talk about Birmingham 2022 and all the work going in to planning the security for the event.

The team were joined by the force drones team who showed the school children some of the drones we’ll be using for the Games as part of delivering a safe and secure Games. They also talked about how important it is that the police drones are the only drones at the Games next year.

The schools visited were:

– Ark Tindle Primary Academy
– Lindsworth School
– Colmers School and Sixth Form College
– Arthur Terry School
– Arch bishop Illsley Catholic School
– St Elizabeth’s Catholic Primary School
– Bristnall Academy
– Hodgehill school

The engagment team will continue to work with the schools in the run up to the Games next year.
