40 of our officers are currently out with the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay, running every step of the way alongside the baton and inspirational baton bearers.
It’s West Midlands Police’s job to keep both the baton and bearers safe as they take the baton to every region of the country in the lead up to the Games. Our officers have been in training for the last year to make sure that they were up to the challenge of running with the baton every step of the way.
